CCWP’s work is rooted in the energy, creativity, and dedication of our members inside and outside of prison walls.

One of the ways you can begin to get involved is to attend a monthly meeting of our Bay Area or L.A. chapter –

    • Bay Area—6:30pm 1st Wednesdays
    • L.A.—2pm 3rd Sundays

The CCWP’s statewide hub system is designed to strengthen organizational unity and expand local engagement. Hubs—formed by at least three CCWP members in a given region—will provide community-based support, advocacy, and reentry resources for currently and formerly incarcerated people while staying connected to CCWP’s statewide network.

The Bay Area and Los Angeles chapters will continue serving as anchors for their regions. Each hub meets monthly, shares updates, and sets local priorities such as hosting welcome-home events, providing court support, and advancing criminal legal reform. This structure aims to build a more inclusive, cohesive, and empowered statewide organization.

For more information check out our Hub’s page here.

Some of the other ways you can get involved include:

  • Working with the CCWP Social Media Team to promote CCWP campaigns
  • Supporting CCWP fundraising events
  • Signing up for our WomenPrisonerNews email list (right), which will keep you informed of all the opportunities to plugin.

Email info@womenprisoners.org to find out more about any of these opportunities.
