We are excited to announce that February 23 thought February 25 will be a Week of Digital Action for the Racial Justice Act for All, AB 256 (Kalra). Please join us in support of this groundbreaking legislation and send in a letter as soon as possible.

California’s legal system is plagued by racial disparities and discrimination in arrest, trial and sentencing. If prohibiting racism in our courts and providing a person a means to remedy racial bias in their case is the right thing to do, it is the right thing to do for everyone. Help us expand access to the California Racial Justice Act and allow individuals with prior, racially biased convictions and sentences a pathway to seek equal justice under the law.

The California Racial Justice Act For All provides a mechanism for retroactive relief and will allow the state to realize significant court and correctional savings. You can learn more about the bill in the attached factsheet from Assemblymember Kalra’s office.

Here’s how you can participate in the Week of Digital Action:

Send your letter of support for the Racial Justice Act For All by taking these simple steps:

  3. Submit your letter through the Online Portal: calegislation.lc.ca.gov/Advocates
